"JUMP In to Giving" was a tremendous success!
Music poured out from the gym of the Church of God Children’s Home on Saturday January 16, 2010, as Wilmenia Gripper, founder of 1,2,3 JUMP, encouraged the crowd over the loud speaker by saying, “Everybody out on the floor! Let’s get warmed up!” Families, small children and adults spread across the gym while Tori DaCosta, colleague and friend, rallied the crowd from the stage to start moving. Over 250 people attended the event and helped 1,2,3 JUMP collect 363 household items as donations for the Church of God Children’s Home of North Carolina.
Participants learned jump rope basics including single jump, double jump, Double Dutch, long rope games, and Chinese Jump Rope. The Harrisburg Jumpin’ Yellow Jackets performance team also shared their talent and excitement of the sport through a live performance involving pogo sticks, hop balls, and lots of jump rope tricks! Kids jumped in bounce houses and eagerly accepted free Chinese Jump Ropes as favors; smiling faces were abundant.
1,2,3 JUMP also offered giveaways and prizes through "JUMP Offs" where children and adults won gift cards to Food Lion, Chuck E Cheese and The Rocky River Coffee shop, a free nights stay at the Residence Inn-Piper Glen in South Charlotte, 3 months free memberships to Achieve Fitness in Concord, and much more!

Combined Federation Campaign
Great news! 1,2,3 JUMP will be participating in the 2009 - 2010 North Carolina Combined Federal Campaign.
This means that any federal employee in the following regions can designate funds to 1,2,3 JUMP and help further the mission.
